Where would we be if we had Boatright instead of Gibbs?

How would our season be different if we had Boatright instead of Gibbs this year?

If we had the Boatshow running our team this year with Jalen learning from him, would our team be that much better? Or would it be about the same and we still had the same problems of turnovers and missing layups.

Boat could get his own shot any time he wanted, was a lockdown defender. I think everyone playing along side him benefits, no disrespect on Gibbs. Jalen will do that for us soon but his shooting is not quite there.

Threads like these are the absolute worst...I guess it is better than the TS or Gibbs one? We would be a better team if we replaced any guard on our team with Boatright, but that's not an option so let's be happy we got Gibbs in the first place and stop posting these stupid hypotheticals.

Turnovers haven't been a big problem. Since we've been on the wrong end of too many close games the missed layups are as big a culprit as anything. Now we've won some games where the opponent's FT shooting was really poor so maybe it balances out. The Boatright question is ridiculous. Why not ask what if we had Shabazz?

I'm with you. What's the sense of even thinking about this?

We'd be top 20 for sure. Our only loss outa conference would likely still be Maryland. But this is true for many of our great former players.

More fundamentally sound, certainly.

Why don't we shoot layups from our waist instead of being macho and dunking the ball all the time???

Look, if you're going to engage in fantasies, forget Boatright.

Mine start with Kate Beckinsale dressed as a vampire.....

Oh my god, we'd be a Final Four team with Boatright without question. Imagine a lineup with JA, Boatright, Hamilton, Miller, and Brimah. Easily top 15 and probably top 10.

That's what we said with Gibbs 5 months ago

Yup no denying that. But now we realize how much we miss a leader like Boat. Seriously though, Final Four team with him.

Hot take city. The nature of the NCAAT makes it so that there are no "without question" Final Four teams. But yes I think we'd be a better team.

Its hard to miss layups when you are 10 inches above the rim
But as others have said this is not a productive thread
Fun but useless

This is a bad thread if I must say. Boat has graduated!!! Its not like he transfered, he's hurt or sitting out due to academics. Lets talk about what we have now. How about a thread saying "What if Gibbs can give us the numbers where he left off at Seton Hall"?
