Where would this team be with wins over Cuse, Delware and Rice.?

Still need to beat Duke to show any relevance. Either way.
yeah they do. I just hope the UConn players don't let the moment get too big for them as that is what prevented them from closing out the games against Syracuse and Delaware. The Rice game, I hate to say it, Rice outplayed UConn after the Skyler Bell 80 yard TD pass.

So UConn's schedule is only more difficult than Buffalo and Middle Tennessee. Programs outside of the P4 start in the '60s:
63 Wazzu
65 USF
66 Kent State
67 Charlotte
68 Oregon State
.
109 Memphis

That seems about right. The only team with above 500 record UConn has played so far was Buffalo. Duke will be by far the best team UConn will play this year and they are a middling P4 team that got crushed by the middling BIG school ILL and beat by a good G5 school Tulane.

No respect. UConn would be 9-0! Actually UConn would only be 7-2 because Ball State and Buffalo were one-possession games which would flip to losses

.-.
A good friend is a producer for College Gameday. I asked him the other day if UConn was 9-0 heading into the Duke game would they consider having Gameday in East Hartford. He said it wasn't likely. He does have Bell and Fagnano on his radar though.

I don't know if anything has changed (with P&W) since then but late in RE'S first run here, ESPN started looking into the possibility of hosting a Gameday at the Rent and discovered that gaining security clearance, due to government contracts that P&W were constantly working on, for the necessary staff would be too cumbersome to get the idea off the ground.

I don't think P&W/RTX security would have anything to do with it anymore. They would be going to the Rent not PW/RTX. Nobody needs clearance to get to the stadium.

9-0 would be something very special, but as we would be exactly the same team we are now, it would have led to many of us b!tching about a ranking (likely borderline to 25) showing far less respect than we warranted, even though we really would have almost no chance of knocking off a true top 25 team on a neutral surface.

At the moment we are what we are. We need to learn from this and build on this.
9-0 would certainly get a. Lot of local buzz and an increased demand for tickets but I agree it wouldn’t have moved the national needle as much as you might think .
An undefeated UConn football team going into the 10th week of the season would be a huge story in Ct and even the. Northeast.
Good buzz is better than bad or even none

We would have gotten a lot of buzz. Everyone around football loves Jim Mora and we have two of the best players in the country. The storylines would make us a media darling. It’s easy to say it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but if ESPN said it was a big deal, it would be a big deal. The media controls the narrative.

Even winning one of three would've been big. Losing all three is hard to do. You'd think by shear luck you'd win one.

They let all of us idiots into the stadium lol.

if you could turn one ot those losses into a win…which game would you pick?

I think it would be the Rice game..because I found that the most disappointing. They should have been better prepared for Deleware…but stuff happens. The Cuse game loss wasn’t that bad because they had Angeli at that time.

But that Rice game still stings. They would be on a 7 game winning streak right now if they won that game.

For me, it's the Syracuse game you flip to a win. 3-0 against the ACC/P4 with 2 bad luck road/OT losses might even get a token vote in the poll by the end of the year.
Definitely Cuse.
