OT: Where were you when Tate George hit “the shot”?

High school watching with friends at one of their houses. Predicted the ball was going to George the senior and Burrell the baseball player was gong to throw it to him. Did i think they would execute and win, not really. It was crazy watching that. Then we ran into Duke's inbound play buzzer beater with Laettner the next game. That sucked!

My daughter, a current senior, thought I was pulling her leg when I told her I watched games in the field house.
Indeed. Watched them and I used to work out there too. There was a "gym" of sorts with universal machines and some free weights. My friends and I picked a time we'd go a few days a week and by happy coincidence it was the same time the women's soccer team was there. If you know, you know.

My fiance and I (we got married the following month) watched the game at her coworker's house. So I knew no one there. The guys sat together and watched while the ladies pseudo watched and chatted. As our lead grew it got more relaxed. More beers. More chatting with the guys. Then the lead started to dissipate and things got serious again. With 1 second to go we couldn't believe we were going to end this glorious season like this. Then... BOOOOM!
And I was jumping up and down hugging guys that I didn't know just 2 hours ago.
On the drive home we heard "That's What I like about UConn" for the first time on WTIC FM radio.

At the house of a high school friend with a small group. Couldn't believe we were going to lose that game. The shot goes in and we just ran around his living room in circles like crazy people!

.-.
I actually have a distinct recollection of listening to this on the radio in bed. It's a very vivid memory from childhood.

And also crying after the Laettner shot and then going out in the driveway to shoot hoops by myself for a while to process it.

Ha that’s crazy. I watched the Tate shot on tv but I too do remember going outside to shoot in my driveway after laettner heartbreaker. I was very upset prolly shot around four hours

I probably went outside and imitated Laettner's stupid shot and thought about how annoying he is making 15 foot shots and being treated like the greatest player ever.

Watched it in my family room in Connecticut with my daughter and her friend. When Tate hit the shot, the two girls went wild and woke up my wife. I sat there crushed because I thought the shot didn't count. Then I saw the officials leave the floor . . .

at the game !!! reflecting what a great season it was and lamenting losing a double digit lead in the second half with someone at the foul line shooting two shots with like 3 seconds left .

.-.
At home preparing to rake my leftover leaves. I remember because I was whistling while working and not complaining during pickup.
