Omar was the toughest guy on the court today, he got his cut bandaged up and never returned, what gives? I would have much rather had Omar out there down the stretch than the rest of the guards.

Yeah when we went scoreless for the last four minutes you'd figure we would try putting in the best guard for us today.

Yea unless he couldn't go I don't get why he wasn't out there, he was also the only guard/wing to make a dribble drive without getting stripped of the ball. His playing time has to go up.

He had a gash over his eye, not sure if it something to do with his playing time down the stretch

Not sure what you guys were watching but he had a pretty big cut over his eye. He gave it a go for a couple minutes but I'm guessing he'll need stitches.

After the cut, Omar came back into the game for a quick cameo on an offensive possession, then never returned.

Really wanted to see him out there.

Played smart and tough today.

The bandage didn't look like it was leaking for god's sake and it was too high to hinder his vision.

Omar was ready to win the game today for UConn...unfortunately Samuel was only guy we had left to run the point and KO wasn't taking Purvis, Hamilton or Facey out. We needed the shooter....KO should have subbed him for Purvis or Facey.

Omar should be getting a lot more time going forward, he is a tough kid and also a pretty talented player when healthy.

“@ADimeBack: Ollie: I really like how he's playing. He played tough in there. -- on Omar. Says he'll get more minutes.”

Omar had a good game. The eye patch should make the highlights reel.

Would have to think it was the vision. I mean he was getting minutes and the eye looked bad afterwards.

“@EdDaigneault: For those wondering why Calhoun didn't play much in OT, Ollie said he could barely see out of his left eye.”

The fact that he came back in at all speaks to his grit and determination. Hats off to Omar.

He couldn't see out of his eye, that's why. Kid had a great day.

I'm in line ready to eat that crow, Calhoun was a bright spot today. along with facey. Calhoun looks like he can easily challenge purvis for the majority of minutes at the 2, or maybe they can go more small with dham at the 4. OC exhibited his versatility by really mixing it up in the paint when we needed it the most. he was also working his tail off defensively, containing the dribble drivve better than he did last year.

Hope this is not a multi game issue--just as we are getting him going
