He tried a few different guys but none came close. Will RS him next year.

If we were 4-7, you can consider not playing him. At 5-6 and playing for a bowl game, you absolutely have to play your only other scholarship kicker there unless someone else was actually as good.

HCPP should have offered a scholarship on the spot to the guy who kicked and made the 25 yarder during one of the official time outs. The only problem though is that the NCAA might look unfavorably on the $1,000 prize money he collected.
