UConn has one wrong here though. I think duke has one wrong too.

On the bottom, Left to right is Michigan (one with uab), then Texas, and St. Johns.

To be fair they have Malachi listed as rh starter (Dayton) instead of Demary. At least they are paying attention.

So Michigan, Texas and SJU don’t have one homegrown starter. That will continue to be the trend.

I actually wonder if that is true. Michigan, Texas, and SJU have coaches that are in their first few years at the school.

For instance, if you did Alabama in 2024 (Oats fifth year, and also still dealing with Covid craziness), I think there was only one (or none) from Alabama. Now it's three.

I'm thinking 2-4 is going to be almost everyone playing late.

Your theory is certainly a possibility, but I would bet against it. Why? Because, as NIL budgets increase, coaches will rather spend that $ to attract the best players on the market - not to retain players would could potentially develop. The stakes are too high and will only go higher, and job security will be among coaches’ top priorities.

And wild that Izzo is holding strong with zero.

Texas was a forced situation. May is going to have to fully rebuild his 3-5 - worth watching. His back court should be Cadeau and McKenney.
