Marcus Thomas is one of those kind of random UConn guys who gets little mention. He played for 2 seasons with us in the mid 90s and saw very little court time. He left the team after the 1995 season, but does anyone know where he went from there? I can't seem to recall where he transferred to and Sports Reference doesn't show any college stats for him after '95. He was a tad slow-footed but had good hands and a decent shot from outside, though the sample size was small.

Another Marcus—Marcus White—also disappeared. He showed a lot of promise in ‘02-‘03(he was on the floor down the stretch vs Texas in the Sweet 16 game), but developed back trouble and never played here again.

Here's the skinny on Marcus White's post UConn career.

Marcus Thomas transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D II).

If Jamaal Trice could land at a DI college, I'm surprised Marcus Thomas couldn't.

If he was a junior when transferring to a D1 school, he would have to sit for a year. Going to a D2 school allowed him to play right away.

That Marcus White saga is epic, lots of twists and turn. Definitely a ton of talent, didn't live up to his potential for a variety of reasons it seems.
