Fortt? McNeal? Both or neither?
What about Golden?
Was Stewart officially denied?

According to Dez and our own HuskyFanDan, Golden is staying put.

Fortt Monday (probably).

McNeal... anytime now.

According to Dez on Twitter, he hears Golden is staying put at PSU.

Stewart we don't know, but I would assume he's gonna have to sit a year.

I can't understand why anyone would stay there, especially a freshman (and I've been a been a Penn State fan since I was 5 - UCONN is #1 for me but I still follow them).

Heroism. Or be part of the juggalo family. Those are two reasons.

Certainly I don't blame a player for leaving there, but the school itself will be the same on a "day to day" basis for students, and while bowl games are awesome, the bonds these players form with each other from practicing together all year long are STRONG. I anticipate that most of PSU's current players will stay. Where there will be a HUGE impact is with future recruits who aren't already part of the team.

This is an emotional reaction. Wait until after this year when they have some time. Then it will be flood time. Leave now they look like jumpers, after the year they look reasonable

This may not be heard by the football zealots in this thread who are decrying football zealotry but, perhaps the players who decide to stay enjoy attending classes there.

Perhaps the bowl ban is lower on their list of importance than their education, fondness of their friends and teammates, or a desire to show the nation what the ideals of Penn State really are?

I think it's look in the mirror time for some of the haters around here.

I vote for peer pressure (loyalty, frienships etc) over classes. No one is denying the benefits of a PSU diploma, but these guys were recruited to play FB. Now I'll go look in the mirror.

We should hope that Redd transfers to USC this weekend. It would help a lot with getting the ball rolling on Fortt to UConn.

Practice officially starts the end of this week.. so hopefully we know who's doing what or going where no later than Wednesday

.-.
Just asked Des for an update on Stewart, may know by the end of the week

Hopefully the fact that USC transfer Kyle Prater was granted his release to play immediately at Northwestern will play well is his favor.

Prater's stated reasoning for the transfer were "to be closer to his family" which seems like a very similar circumstance to Stewart
