I remember that hug from Chiney and Geno. If i remember correctly she chose Stanford over UCONN.

As I posted in another thread, during the BE Tournament, the Fox analyst, Kim Adams, and during the first two rounds in Storrs for the Big Dance, Rebecca both mentioned many times how good the Huskies were playing and could/would win it all. Obviously, they were correct.

Geno knew what he had, he just had to get them all on the court together. We on the Boneyard hoped they could do it once they all got on the court. The thing that made them great was that all three could play any way they had to win. All three were great on defense and offense. They all can pass to the best scoring opportunity, but if they were hot, they would fire them up.
Do we have enough next year? As a boneyarder, I hope so!!! But only Geno will know.

At the end of last summer, I seem to recall Geno saying Sarah would change the trajectory of the team. He saw it back then. He just needed to wait for the aftermath of old injuries to wash on through. It must have been really frustrating for him to see Morgan go down to a new injury and for Ayanna to be unable return. Going into the first SC game he must have begun to see the first suggestion that Jana could be enough and that the small lineup could work even against the biggest team.
When I think of the season in these terms, I really get the feel for how much he values ‘the mighty mites,’ Kaitlyn KK and Ash. They were one of the keys to it all with the relentless energy they brought, the constant probing of weaknesses in opponents, fighting over screens, the sneaky bursts of offense and their utter unpredictability.
He has KK and Ash back next season. To pose a familiar question, sort of, I wonder who will be the third member of the Little 3? Kelis, maybe?
