At the beginning of last year's season, I remember hearing that Geno said there was unlimited upside with Qadence. Now it seems she is at the end of the bench, behind all of the freshmen.
When Aubrey comes back, there may be even less opportunity for her. What do you all think or know?

Nothing is up with Qadence. I just see a player caught up in the numbers game. She can only control two things, her effort and her attitude, everything after that is out of her control.

When I have seen her on the court this season, I haven’t seen her make a case for more minutes.

Please accept the response that doesn't violate the rules:
1) I was looking forward to seeing more of QS this season. Lot of season yet to be played.
2) Lot of season yet to be played. I hope to see more of QS on the floor.

Pure speculation here but it seems to me that Morgan has taken the spot that Qadence earned (was it earned only due to the number of available players?) last season. However I think that Morgan is better defensively than Qadence was/is and Morgan doesn't appear to put up a shot every time the ball happens to find her on offense.
Qadence shows flashes of what she brings to the table but she's not very consistent...yet.

The corollary to your post is that it appears Morgan has picked up the read-and-react offense and defense more quickly than Qadence did. OTOH, I was convinced that after spending the offseason absorbing the offense that Q would have a huge sophomore leap, which obviously hasn’t happened.

So if Q’s issue isn’t familiarity with the offense and defense, my best guess is nerves and/or confidence. I’m hoping the light bulb comes on, because she seems like a great teammate, and she’s a lot of fun to watch.

I just posted about Qadence’s lack of minutes in a USC post game thread. When she has come into the games her role is very limited (runs to the corner to wait). Not sure if by design or waning confidence or confusion. If it’s by design, b/c the focus is on opps for the better players than there’s little she will be able to do in the program this year from my vantage point.
