What we need to realize is that Boat has prepared

this team for next year. Just like the other leaders before him, he has taught them all what UConn basketball is all about. Him going down and them not quitting proved that his teaching was effective. Him coming back in the game with one arm was the final lecture.

Sure he won't be in the Tourney but guys Boat did his job! We will see in the next couple of years the fruits of his labor and his teaching by example.

In his way he injected this team with UConn blood, we will be fine recruiting or not. His warrior spirit was on display in Purvis, DHam and others. I saw it!

^^ These kids needed a growing year like this and an experience like this to believe they can do it if they put in the work in the offseason. There's talent there to be developed and no one other than Boatright has a realistic shot at going anywhere for another two years. I'm excited to see what these kids and the new ones coming in can do. There's a raw foundation to build on.
