What was your first order on Amazon?

The names were changed to protect the innocent.

January 2005: Introduction to Mechanics by Kleppner and Kolenkow

(college physics textbook, very boring)

I remember bringing this up in staff meetings back in the day (the day being midst of Able Archer exercises) Have to say, most of us were laughing and hooting at how an insurance salesman viewed the activities of various military units. Nothing Clancy wrote is under-rated, it's all wet slippery barely coagulated feces.

It's an alternate history pop fictional novel. It's fantasy. It's entertainment and more or less inspired by a board game. The implied context of underrated is within the scope of his other novels and their appreciation by people. The book's military accuracy is not what makes it good or bad to me, just as the terrible space physics doesn't make me dislike Star Wars.

The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon December 2010. I could’ve sworn I used amazon for textbooks long before that? Or maybe that was “half.com”

They're making a movie with Michael B Jordan. Supposed to be out in October.
I didn't know that. He'll be good.

Looks like they are going to up date it. I think I'd like it more if they'd have left it a 1970's period piece.

Oh and apparently I bought gift cards back in 2001. Didn't anything again until 2005, and it was books, textbooks at that.
I remember reading an article that said that said that Clancy was fed information that deliberately overstated our capabilities. When the book came out (not sure if it was Red October or Red Storm Rising) the Pentagon made a stink about how accurate it was and how they were going investigate how the info got out. It basically was a disinformation campaign by the good guys.

September 03, a bunch of emo CDs and family guy season 3. Bout right right for freshman year.

I think it was actually books which I believe is how they started out. Either that or an ironing board for my apartment. I worked at Starbucks in college and I used to get a bag with over $50 in change each week for tips. I’d trade it in at coin star for Amazon gift cards without paying the tax to buy college necessities.2005

I read all of his stuff, and even some by the people writing under his name now. It's getting more political every day. I recently read an old Clancy book, and was a little surprised how biased it was. No wonder Reagan liked him.

John Clark is black now?
