Charde, Ketia, and Mel in 2004 did not win a championship and made the Final 4 for the first time their senior years in 2008.

Before them the Amy Duran, Courtney Gaine class of 1996 went 4 years without winning.

Those would be the only 2 classes since Lobo/Webber in 1991 to step foot on UConn's campus, stay 4 years, and not win a championship.

The years between Taurasi and Moore, I believe. I think there was a five year Championship drought.

Ketia Swanier, Charde Houston, Brittany Hunter (not sure if she counts in this group, as she transferred in), and Mel Thomas, graduated in 2008. Previous championship was in 2004 and next one was 2009. They were part of a Final Four group, the first in our current record of 6 straight.

The nice thing is that EVERY recruiting class starting with the class of 1987 (Kerry Bascom!) has at least been to a final four.

Thats quite a record............Only 4 classes to ever step foot on UConn's campus and not win a NC during the Geno era.............How many other schools can say that ? Maybe not any. And certainly Not many.

I assume this means you started with the class of 89.. so 89, 90. 08.... I only count three... Which am I missing? If Geno came in 85 that class would of been the class of 89... the class of 99?

Technically it's 5 years from 2004 to 2009, but it only encompasses 4 NC-less seasons. So just one class.

Wasn't Mel Thomas injured for that Tournament? And another starter, maybe Kalana Greene? That was Maya Moore's freshman year.
