What the heck is a pushpin?

I keep getting asked if I want to enable pushpins or something. How many times do i need to click 'yep?' I'm nervous to enable pushpins, whatever they are, but I click 'yep' in an effort to stop the website from continuously recommending that I roll with pushpins.
