I have no idea, but this is what I used on our Vt house. You can buy 2 and combine the poles if you need more length, but for a ranch I doubt you would need toIt's a small ranch about 600 ft.².

Roof Rake
Tom, if your goal is to prevent ice dams, you only need to remove about a foot of snow at the bottom of the roof, nearest the rain gutters. Then as the remaining snow melts, it will drip harmlessly into the gutters. If there is already ice there, I suggest putting some ice melt, such as potassium chloride, in old socks and tossing them into the cleared spaces.
That is hilarious lolI've been thinking about throwing birdseed up there and letting the fat turkeys slide off with the snow.
The problem with my house is the eaves are ~6".
How old are you?I have a roof rake. It's not nearly as easy as it looks. I have two feet of snow around my house. I damn near had a heart attack just walking around my house to see how the roof looks.

That’s funny and nice segue. I initially thought this post was related to cleaning off a car roof.Age is a state of mind, and my mind wants nothing to do with cleaning snow off the roof of my house. Unless of course there is someone tailgating my house.
I have a ranch also and what I do when we are targeted with a large storm like we had is go out every 3 or 4 hrs and use my snow blower and remove snow from the driveway and create a double wide path around the house, and then I use the roof rake at the end of the storm and like @dogpause suggested I take about a foot or so off of the eaves. Works great for me. That way your not trudging though a foot or so of snow around the house.I have a roof rake. It's not nearly as easy as it looks. I have two feet of snow around my house. Clearly you should be parking your house in a garage.Unless of course there is someone tailgating my house.
Our house was similar sized. 8 or 9 years ago, we had a series of heavy snowstorms and a couple ice/freezing rain storms. Paid $300 to have the snow and ice cleared. Six man crew was there about 2-1/2 hours. The outermost 4 feet or so on the side that faced the winter sun was the worst. 8~10" of ice under a 6" or so layer of snow.. that alone took the six of them almost an hour with ice chisels. It's a small ranch about 600 ft.².

I was quoted 1000.00 per house they ask size of my house
Weren’t you looking for a new 4x4 or AWD for all that snow? What did you get and how does it like the snow?Gotta love the new Blink feature that says what's in camera.
I hired a guy to clean off my roof. He fell off the ladder. A nice soft landing in 2' of powder.

I got a RAV4 two years ago. I just his 4,500 miles. It handles the snow fine, and if I tailgate close enough ... never mind.
I just remember because you had a 4Runner. I’m a 4Runner fanboy.
I’ve found that if you toss a couple of lit M80s close to the top of the roof the snow just slide right off. YMMV 😎
