1. Daddy Choc is one heck of a score prognosticator.....almost called this one exactly......others pretty amazing as well.

2. Hartley can take only five shots and we can still up NINETY points. Something like this has happened in the past, by the way. Is it at all possible that when she is looking for her shot less and dominating the ball less and forcing the dribble into the teeth of The Steel Curtain somewhat less, we have much better ball movement, more assists, and are a better team?

3. Lewis can miss ALL her shots (that has also happened before) and we can still put on NINETY points. (NOT to suggest she should make a habit of that...and obviously she won't....but isn't it nice to know that we have real breadth of firepower.....not just two who can do??)

4. A Devine Being can recognize the Baby Jesus from courtside. Good one, Coach :)

5. From Nan's news links, we can look at the Courant photos and go to photo #6......and create some photo headings. Mine would be something like, "Not a really, really, really happy face." Yours?

6. In Jim Fuller's comments, we see that he explains Dolson's emergence from three straight single-digit games (two of them against relatively weak competition) by noting that she "DID A BETTER JOB OF ESTABLISHING POSITION IN THE LOW BLOCKS." Can I get an "Amen" on that one? It feels so good not to be alone; thank you, Jim. How can viewers (or the coach) chastise the team for " not getting the ball to Dolson down low" when she is so seldom down there?? I still contend that she can be virtually unstoppable ini the low blocks................vs. what, oh for about five from outside last night?. Yes, she'll can some from out there of course....she has a nice touch......but, let's be real. Let's take advantage of our strengths.

7. We also learned that from the top middle of the offensive set, Banks CAN pass effectively to the person to her left on the perimeter...........and she CAN also pass directly to the person to her right on the perimeter. OK....terrific....now can we let her know that it really IS OK to drive down open lanes for a layup.....and two more points of money in the Banks?? Isn't that the offensive ability that the coaches and the team mates RAVED about repeatedly? Yup, we did beat Stanford.....but wouldn't have just a couple of those layups been a welcome addidtion to our arsenal that night, vs. having that great weapon nailed to the bench for all but a very few minutes? C'mon, Man.....folks like Hartley and Hayes repeatedly drive mindlessly into UNopen lanes, time and time again. Do your thang, Banks....drive those OPEN lanes......it is great stuff......

8. Even my Pennsylvania gal Doty can pass it to the band along with the best of 'em (who shall, for a change, remain unnamed......especially after a better performance last night) . Not everyone does everything well all the time. One night soon DOTY will keep the ball in play and light it up with threes.....just watch.

9. Back to Nan's helpful news links: if we look down the far right hand headings column of the CT POST, we see this headline, "STUNNED WOMAN DESCRIBES MILFORD HIGHJACKING." Lordy, MILFORD, has it come to this?? Take a deep breath, Dude......settle DOWN! And, keep smilin.
