At the very end of an article about Ky's junior guard Makayla Epps and her father Anthony Epps (who was point guard on the Ky men's team that won the championship in 1996), there is the kind of acknowledgment that many of us cherish here at the BY:

But Anthony's daughter has already lived through one miracle as a college basketball player [referring to an auto accident in her freshman year]. So why not recall that he won his national title as a junior and that this is the 20th anniversary? Why not dream that “Makayla might as a junior be able to lead the ’Cats to the Final Four?”

Or, as she told him before the start of the tournament, “Hey, at least we’re not in UConn’s bracket.”​

Thank you Makayla for validating what I've been saying for the last 3 years. Nobody wants to be in UConn's bracket. The only way any team wants to see UConn in the tournament, is in the championship game.
