ESPN has Texas and South Carolina as the first game, I just checked the channel lineup.

The Texas and South Carolina game may be brutal to watch. Two great defensive, physical teams playing for the fourth time this year. The winner will score in the 50s or 60s. Whereas the UConn and UCLA games will be more wide open, and probably have a lot more scoring, with the winner in the 70s or 80s. That is the kind of game the NCAA wants in prime time to get the maximum audience. It has to be a good show to draw the best audience. I believe the matchup that would draw the most attention from fans, and players and coaches alike would be UConn/South Carolina. If you remember back, SC was the pre-season #1, and UConn was the pre-season #2. Seems so long ago, and it was, with a lot happening in between. It should be a great game if they play, but I think UConn will prevail. BUT, we have to get by the #1 team in the country. Here's hoping we do, and Paige can drive out of Storrs as the new top dog in UConn history. Or really close.

ESPN finally realized that having the first game scheduled at 7PM, then the second game won't start two hours later, especially if there's a 30 minute break between games. Yesterday was the first time that I saw on the ESPN app that that the UConn game was scheduled to start at 9:30PM.

ESPN only got it right because the games are being played in the same arena.

Spectrum cable guide has Texas vs SC at 6pm Central time
UCONN vs UCLA 8pm Central time

If the first game happens to go to overtime, we're looking at 10 p.m. or later (ET) for our start. Seems we always get the late games, men's and women's.

The whole schedule is dumb. Why would you put these games into the worst TV time slot of the week?

1) UCLA was all but guaranteed to play the late game for west coast viewing
2) the price of being the most popular brand in WCBB is the late game
