What is up with all the red UConn gear?

I went to the women's game last night and there was a lot of red UConn tshirst and sweatshirts. I was just in the bookstore in Hartford and saw a lot for sale in there. What's next a red out?

I do not like the red.
I much prefer blue, white, silver. Red only as a minor accent color for an outline or something tiny.

But this is JMO.

There is more money to be made when you add colors. I initially was not a big fan of seeing the red but some items Hurley wears are quite nice.

Not exactly on topic and I know many will disagree, but I liked UConn's black road uniforms. But if Hurley and players don't want to wear them, that is okay, too. I am only in favor of positive mojo.

Here's another STRONG VOTE for the Black Uniforms or BLACK anything. I have a Black Logo UCONN hat. Black uniforms with a little blue and some silver/gray trim would look so AMAZING and MODERN.

I get it they do have a lot of them.

I prefer the black ones or the lime green ones.

Im not advocating for a lot of unis but a nice blacked out "mean" one would look so cool.

I had a black on black Husky logo fitted hat, well at least I did. Can't find it anymore, that was the best looking Husky hat I've ever seen.
