Many hotels that are withing walking distance (1 mile) of stadium. Where are us UConn fans staying?

Same, you can also take the Worcester Line on the commuter rail. Might be an easy option for anyone going into MA through 84/91/395.

Trains leave Worcester at 5:10, 7:10 and 9:10 on the morning of the game. It gets you right on Lansdowne Street next to Fenway at 6:31, 8:31, or 10:31 (that last one is cutting it close).

Same here, my son goes to school in Boston. It is currently going through a remodel and the rooms are pretty cheap.
 
Hotel aka Back Bay. Wife reserved 5 rooms for the tailgate crew. Will buy tickets tomorrow after I get a final headcount tonight....
 
Booked a room at the Element Marriot in Seaport. 14 min Uber drive to stadium. Was cheap and room came with 2 queen beds, a couch and a kitchenette. Plus continental breakfast...
 
What’s the parking situation near Fenway for those of us driving up?
 
Ironically I'm being booted out of the Chez Mom and Dad the night before... I'll figure something out but most likely I'll stay out of the city and take the subway in. Though maybe I drive all the way in and take on parking?

Residence Inn Boston Back Bay - less than 0.2 miles from Fenway, which is nice.
 
just out of curiosity, what is the best option for those coming from CT in terms of the boston rails? I'd like to make a reasonable getaway back to DC afterwards... yeah, I know. hell of a drive

Drive to the Riverside T station in Newton. Lots of parking. Take the T in from there, its about a 30 min ride.
 
With this being like a home game fans will have more money to spend at the game and a hotel. No flight needed.

It's also has overnight parking. Just get off at Kenmore not Fenway.
 
I highly recommend the Verb. It's literally right next to Fenway and it's got a cool rock-n-roll theme to it. I stayed there for a concert at the House of Blues it's really great.

I forget. Why? Shorter walk? Weather? We always used to get off just before it went under ground. That is Fenway, isn't it? But that was baseball season with good weather.

There is also a D and E branch of the green line. You want D I believe.

Sorry brainfart, you're right. Kenmore is across from our hotel so clearly that's not relevant to everybody. Back in the day Kenmore might have been easier but I don't know now.

I think the Kenmore stop is more convenient to Fenway Park than the Fenway stop.

Well. It is underground so out of the weather. That might be a factor on 12/28. I remember long ago watching Yanks vs Red Sox on Commonwealth morning and leaving in the sixth inning to run down to Kenmore and watch Bill Rogers win the Marathon in Nike shoes. That was Nike,'s breakthrough moment. We were sitting in the bleachers waiting for the game to start when the guy behind us who was reading the Globe says that an expert's pick to win the Marathon was Richard Mabuza of Swaziland (eSwatini). He finished 7th. Two months later I was in Swaziland in the Peace Corps teaching HS math.The next year Mabuza led the race to the top of Heartbreak Hill where the breeze came up onshore and the temps dropped 25 F. He cramped up and got passed and dropped. A day later after school I was walking down Allistair Miller Street in Mbabane and there was a photo of Mabuza in the window of the USIA. It took me a moment to realize that the guy talking to him was my brother (whose best finish was 103rd) who was in the tent translating for the German female winner. Sadly Mabuza died a year ago before his time. This trip is gonna rekindle a lot of memories for me. 1975 and 1976.

You might be right. I think most of us will be going in the right field side though.
