I'm probably the only 'Yarder who would vote for this, but I would vote for it...but then I would have taken EDD first, and am generally a contrarian around these parts.

I'm with ya as far as UConn going to the ACC ( I would think hard about EDD also). It would be a really competitive conference and UConn would be retaining the rivalry with ND plus gain a few more. First UT off the schedule, now possibly ND. Imo UConn loses more because it's going to take quite a while before any rivalries get established in the new conference whereas UT has the natural rivalry of the SEC going for it and ND will be heading into a conference with teams that can match up with them (Maryland, NC and Duke) to establish decent rivalries quicker.

I see a lot of people mentioning playing Maryland as a benefit of the ACC. You do know that it will be in the BIG10 in a year or so right?, baring any major changes based on how their lawsuit ends up shaking out

Why might U.Conn consider it? You're heading into a very weak conference and Geno isn't getting any younger. Remember La. Tech? They used to be a power in women's college basketball. Get in the ACC and you're part of what is likely to be the strongest women's basketball conference for a long, long time to come with U.Conn has a great chance to stay strong in women's basketball for a long, long time to come. Be proud and say no and who knows what the future will bring.

Is there a polite way to say 'go pound sand'?

I politely said "Blow it out your ass" and was deleted. This is seriously a massive to our athletic program, "with all due respect."
