I love when teams that play the right way are rewarded. Refs called this one much differently, and South Carolina’s inept offensive skill gets exposed in back to back nattys. Love it.
I also think the refs prevented SC turning it into a scrum. But yeah, the Uconn elite8/semifinal jinx is pretty real. Few teams win the next game.As predicted, those six UCLA seniors looked calm, cool and collected against SC..........in addition, it looks like South Carolina suffered a major letdown after beating UConn........Cori Close owes Geno a very good bottle of wine....
guess Dawn should have thought more about going ten rounds with ucla than geno.I was a Cori Close doubter. I didn’t even think she’d make it to the title game. However I’m happy to eat crow.
NICE STAT! And, Again ... Back to the question in the title: ANSWER: UCLA!So back to the question in the title:
Good refs!
Friday - 38 minutes and 20 fouls split 35/65
Sunday - 38 minutes and 34 fouls split 50/50
Someone got the message.
And think about the two teams that have. Tennessee in 1996 wasn’t enamored by UCONN on that jersey, and 2001 and 2018 ND was the same. All 3 played us those 3 seasons, were very familiar with us, and not intimidated at all. It was just another win. It wasn’t THE win.I also think the refs prevented SC turning it into a scrum. But yeah, the Uconn elite8/semifinal jinx is pretty real. Few teams win the next game.
