Good sign: Lamb hits a floater in the lane off of a screen and curl.

Bad sign: JC goes with the big lineup and AO's man hits a wide open 3.

Don't want to see us hoisting up a three
Do want to see us get the ball to Lamb and go inside

I have to believe AO starts on big hands in the big lineup. Not sure how long he stays on him, but he starts on him.

Good sign: Pass it inside to AO and he scores and 1 on Royce White

Bad sign: Drummond gets the ball and shoots a fade-away 10 footer-airball.

feed AO down low first play to let them know they're gonna have to defend our bigs all night.

or AD wins tip and runs straight to rim for halfcourt alley oop

no bad signs tonight. its a first round game. why is everybody so worried?

I guess I should give scenarios on the other sides of the ball.

Good sign: We shut down the passing lanes, Royce White tries to take Drummond off the dribble and is rejected

Bad sign: We pass the ball around the perimeter and jack up a contested 3 at the end of the shot clock (already said by patrick)

I want to see them running plays for Lamb early to get him going, make sure he's engaged.

I want to see either three straight three's (preferred) or three lob dunks by Drummond and three empty possessions by Iowa State.

I want to see AD pound one in and draw a foul on their big guy. The I want a heavily contested missed three on the other end, followed by one of Lamb's patented runners...and while we're at it, throw in one of Bazz's crazy deep 3s.

As for what would set a good tone for the team would be Alex and Scoe converting early. This team tends to go as those two go. Granted, we need to get contributions from the usual suspects Lamb, Bazz, Boat and AD, but those two seem to be the ones that put us over the top.

Want to see Lamb torch Babb repeatedly, make them double him, then AD and AO go off offensively.

Or simply, lots of points, and no points for them.

No fouls on AD or AO
No uncontested shots from the outside on D

Good: Dunk, dunk, dunk, dunk. Nobody even thinks about taking a jump shot.

Bad: Bazz takes contested 3s and/or stands around dribbling.

Boys.

I don't think one of you will disagree when I say that the one thing that we don't want to see - early, late, in between - is a g-d d-mned, out of their asses, from nowhere, energizing, didn't deserve it, BANK IN 3.

dont want to see drummond taking a jumper with royce white going end to end with a dunk
