Blow it up and make a facility that will hold a hell of a lot more than a handful of people. AD David Benedict swung and missed on that one

Very nice. UConn will have all state of the art sports facilities. Baseball, Football, Basketball, softball, Ice Hockey and soon volleyball. Plus, Gample will be getting some renovations.

UConns athletic facilities are second to none.

What do you think is the average attendance at a women's college volleyball game?

No clue; guessing perhaps 300. But with a dedicated facility attracting better recruits, I would not be surprised if it doubles soon. Midwest stalwarts such as Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State routinely draw well above 1,000, often over 5,000. Build it (and win)…………..they will come.

Note to AD Dave. If you want to build this franchise, do NOT schedule volleyball home games opposite women’s/men’s soccer, field hockey, or football. Two hours prior to/after soccer, or field hockey……….fine. Give the student body (and we old alums) an opportunity to attend both.
