She buried the field in the Finals and fell off her new world record in the last 10 meters. At one point a full second ahead of it!

On. Related note, UConn Swimming will be one of the top teams in the New Big East when they move and will generate great rivalries with Villanova, Georgetown and Seton Hall. Their teams fit much better in this conference.

She also broke the 100 meter backstroke world record leading off the women's 4 * 100 medley relay this morning
