What about this lineup for now?

This makes a good point on Landrew probably starting at the 3. We aren't bringing in our 8th highest recruit to come off the bench behind Ross. Ross might start there early but don't expect that to last.

Yes like I’ve been saying for weeks Landrew is being brought here to play right from the jump…24/7 has him as a 5 star, Maxpreps had him as first team player in HS class of 2026…guy will bring the physicality and toughness we lacked against St John’s last year and is a 3 level scorer , great defender and rebounder

I don't want Jayden or Landrew starting.
Too bad. As I said before one of them will. By January Landrew will be major impact player. We started freshman at the three each of the last 3 years. What’s the issue?

With Ball being out, it may necessitate that Ross start. He knows the offense as well as Ball, his experience is invaluable, especially after losing Karaban, and he is an NCAA Champion.

Finally I think at least come the start of the season, Ross is rewarded with the starting position initially. Of course it will depend on game performance if he keeps it, but to have a 4 year player on our squad should be exploited.

Just saying I think Hurley appreciates his loyalty and that I wouldn't be surprised if Ross starts beginning of the season. The key is remaining a starter. I think he's ready.

Castle, McNeeley, and Mullins were all one and done types who were brought in to start day one and were ready to start day one. I don't trust Landrew is ready for that on a team with intentions of winning the whole thing. He's had a major rise in the rankings the past year but he's still ranked #22 overall and the #8 small forward in what is considered a historically weak freshman class, I would pump the brakes a little bit. For reference Castle was the #9 ranked recruit overall and the #2 combo guard, McNeeley was #10 overall and the #2 small forward, Mullins #12 overall and the #2 shooting guard. There was lottery pick hype for all three of them before stepping on the UConn campus.
