Lot of hittin. Lot of passion. These two teams do NOT like each other. IMHO.
 
UCF seems bound and determined to choke away the BCS bid one way or the other. Almost did it vs Temple. Could get the job done tonight.
 
Yep. I don't know what happened. We played close to USF, got clobbered by UCF. Transitive principle fails again.
 
If USF played like this against us, we would have lost by 50.
 
Wouldn't UCF get the BCS bowl bid even if they lose to USF?

Am quite surprised at what's going on. The "War on I-4" is real.

Both schools appear to have the Big 12 in mind.

Which part of this game related to them joining the Big 12? The part where UCF played down to USF or the part where USF melted down in a big spot?

There was an article I came across discussing this rivalry that mentioned both schools aiming for the Big 12. Just thought I'd throw it in to appease the hearts of those who think we're stuck in the AAC forever.

While a Florida school makes a lot of sense for the Big 12... the math makes the opposite of sense. UConn has a better chance at the Big 10 than USF or UCF has at the Big 12.
 
UCF is going to get assbanged by whoever it plays in the BCS bowl. Close wins against Memphis, Temple and USF do not pass the eye test.

It's closer to hate than NOT like. It's a weird dichotomy amongst their students and alumni. Both are "new" at being big schools and both have their roots as commuter/alternative schedule schools and both filled a needed regional university for those who couldn't get in to UF. USF beat UCF to the game by a few years and has always had a superiority complex. UCF has much better infrastructure though and literally expands by the day. Plus it's more centrally located than Tampa.

If you were buying one of them based on current performance and future potential it's UCF all the way.

Wonder if HuskyNan is delivering the "soap" to the Rent for Rutgers after her "run in" yesterday...?
