Interested in this match-up between 2 disappointing? teams. Its so odd, as I tend to route for Texas even though I'm not an Aston fan (family in the area, liked Jody) and lots of respect for Mike Carey at West Virginia from oBE days when we were at Rutgers. Really curious about this one.

There is no limit to the number of ways, TX can find a way to lose.

The Lady Longhorns vs The Mountaineers is the match-up of the night.

7-2 Horns.

21-10 TEX end of first

Gondrezick looks to be out again.

Gondrezick not playing again. Apparently still out on concussion protocol.

UT up 21-10 after 1Q.

Lady Longhorns up by 7 at the end of the first 20 minutes.

They combined for 12 points in the 2nd quarter. Not a lot to get excited about.

WV cut the lead to 5 early in 4Q and it’s been a stalemate since then. Both teams dysfunctional on offense. WV is missing Gondrezick badly. Rudd is a dud today.
Is she a junior or senior?
Listed as redshirt junior.

Longhorns get the W. 50-44.

Another close loss for WVU, 50-44
Collier 11 pts, 15 reb

It doesn't even feel like either of these teams deserves a spot in the NCAA tournament. I can give West Virginia a bit of a pass for today because they were without Gondrezick, but she was there for the entirety of their skid of 7 losses in 8 games.

I have to say, Tynice Martin has been rather disappointing this year. Since she missed a year with a foot injury two years ago, she's shown only glimpses of the player who almost singlehandedly tore through the Big 12 tournament in 2017, including an upset over Baylor.

The big bright spot for WVU was sophomore Kari Niblack, who had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, and was just a warrior on both ends of the court.

Not the best year to be a Mountaineer fan but hey I'm used to it.
