22-8, Baylor at the end of the 1st quarter.
Baylor looking pretty good so far.

22-8 end of the first stanza.

BU!

The Defending National Champions are running like a Charles-Hubert pocket watch.

.-.
Nina Davis had her number retired before the game and is being interviewed during the 2nd quarter

I want to dislike Kim Mulkey but I just can't. Loved her as a player...tired of her histrionics as a coach but am warming up to her now. She has become a legend.

.-.
Lady Bears need to practice their Free Throws.
9-14 from the Charity Strike.

West Virginia has 14 points in almost 20 minutes of basketball.

An absolute clinic by Baylor. Scary good team.

Forget about the blow out loss against the Okies.
WV is a good, well coached team.

Are the refs ever going to call a moving screen on Cox? Baylor looks as good as I've ever seen them. However, the last time they looked this good, they did not make it to the Elite Eight. I think this team looks better than last season's team.

She has tamed down a lot these last few years. I enjoy her passion for the game. She coaches like she played. After all these years she still has that same enthusiasm.

I think this Baylor team is very different, being able to shoot from 3 much better and the athleticism with Smith now in makes things a different challenge. Egbo and Ursin are nice weapons off the bench.

Final: Baylor 91-51.

WV didn't offer a challenge to the best team in the land.

I love most Baylor fans but your posts are always so cocky. Act like you've been there.

You must have had one of my coaches. "Let's pretend you're going to do that a few more times before the season is over".

West Virginia lost to Oklahoma almost as bad. I wonder if Oklahoma looked like world beaters when they beat WV.

7,000 plus cheered The Baylor Lady Bears to victory.

Tynice Martin has been awful. Gondrezick hasnt been great either.

15 boards for Esmery Martinez is quite impressive against a Baylor frontline.

I switched to BBC America to watch the nature documentary at the half. My sense was that it was not a particularly efficient shooting night for Baylor, but it turns out I got a misleading impression from focusing on Lauren Cox, who was having a bad shooting night. She seemed to be hitting all her shots in the UConn game, but against a much weaker WVa club she was 3/11 and 0/2 for FT. But Juicy Landrum was 4/6, & she wasn't too good against UConn as I recall, & Moon Ursin was omg 8/12. Before she got the fouls T'ea Cooper was pretty amazing too. She was on SC before she did the grad transfer? Did Kim Mulkey wave a magic wand or something? Still, I'm glad I got a chance to watch a pack of dingoes run down kangaroos & flying fox bats being attacked by crocodiles! (Kind of like a continuation of the Baylor-WVa game, come to think of it)

PS: Nice to see Nina Davis guesting in the first half, with shots of her family -- retired her number like Washington State did for Klay Thompson yesterday? Wish her the best.

Martin & Gondrezick, in the last two games were 12-55. Tonight, we D'd them up. Guess OU did the same thing.
The Mountaineers won't win many games with those numbers from their two top offensive players. .

What is really impressive is Baylor's bench. Huge scoring from Ursin, and Egbo is tremendous.

Big, strong, aggressive, and determined. A team for the all-time's.
