I did not see all the games and don't have clear recollection of those I saw. But, as nearly as I can recall, with maybe one exception (and that may be a wishful memory, rather than an actual one), UCONN did not successfully execute a single last possession at either the half or end of game this entire season. I do recall several botched attempts, not just the ever so painful ones against ND last night and the two earlier losses to them.

I don't here claim that Geno is not on list of the top 150 coaches in Connecticut, but I do here suggest they work on buzzer beaters. This is not just a matter of XsOs; rather, this is more an issue of focus, confidence and unwillingness to give in to fatigue. They ought to be able to succeed on buzzer beaters at least 33% of the time with that percentage being a compilation of their FG%ave, reduced by the stress of the lack of time and heightened defensive pressure. I do not think they came anywhere near a 33% success rate as time was running out.

I am concerned about this and needed to vent.
