Thursday's loss really sapped my love for college football. I've barely watched any so far, but these results are making me feel, these kids are either going to pull themselves up and fight or roll over. I bet we see better performances from them going forward. P still gotta go though.

So after taking some time to think about this, I've come to the following conclusion: Division 1 (FBS) football is trying like crazy to become MORE exclusive at a time when it's clear that the talent level of players and teams across the country are demonstrating a great deal of parity. In other words, because of the 85 scholly limit for schools, there are a lot of quality players going to non-BCS and FCS leagues.

That's not to say we didn't lay a friggin' egg on Thursday. It's just to say that this level of quality and these types of performances didn't seem to be around in the FCS ranks back in the mid 90's as far as I could tell...
