Looks like we're going to have to channel some Mojo this year.

We didn't get blown out or lose by double digits. We lost two close games by two good teams that both could make it to the tournament.

I hope we can make adjustments cause if Hurley can't figure things out, I'm a little worried about the upcoming teams on the schedule.

Maybe the schedule was too easy early on. I still believe that this is a good team and I'm all in with Hurley.

Glad the Holiday is here, a good excuse to enjoy some spiked egg nog after these two games.
 
We definitely lived a charmed life for over two years, minus one three-week stretch in early 2023. I think we all got a little comfortable.

But this is how college basketball's supposed to be. Growing pains. Inconsistency. Losing games you shouldn't because of the madness. But hopefully that also means we see the incredible growth players can make over the length of a season.

We've snapped back to reality. I expect Hurley to rise to the challenge and get the most out of this team as possible, whether that's truly as a title contender, or something else.
 
I’m on record that the season is alive and well.

I’m looking at this like “the transition for this group to elite hasn’t been as quick and smooth as I expected” rather than “these 2 games prove we’re not good, not as talented and this year is now a total disaster.”

Needed one other 240 lb bruiser in the transfer portal. Singhare and Samson have height but not girth.

Everyone wanted to play competitive non conference games. It's only November....relax.
Would rather watch a game like Memphis than a 4O point game against Sacred Heart (no offense Sacred Heart fans)

I hope it’s Dayton were playing tomm. Theres at least some hope we can win. I think Iowa St will beat us really bad.
 
Definitely some things and playersto be encouraged about. Stewart and Nowell among them. Reed, Ball and McNeeley as well. Plenty of talent, it just needs to mesh. I'm still optimistic for a very good season.
 
We have won with rebounding and defense, we still have the assists. Reed gave us little today and after yesterday that is confounding.

In some ways we are lucky to be in a high mid-major league. We can run through it and still get a bid.

I actually kind of expected this. Two years in a row we had outstanding college players. That isn’t, by the way, necessarily great NBA guys. College and pro basketball require different skill sets. Especially in the middle and in the back court. And one of our strengths was having experience as well as skill. So now we are trying to recreate something that really doesn’t come together that easily. Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn’t. Teams that lose close games sometimes lose confidence and end up losing by larger margins as the year goes on. Not all, but it isn’t that uncommon. We’ll see where we go from here.
 
Playing better on the defensive end would do wonders. I’m not sure we have any stoppers though. We lost DC and Castle, that’s tough to replace.

Our only defensive player is Diarra right now. We need to develop a couple more to be competitive.

When conference play starts that will drop to quad 3. Not a good loss. We were up 13 and should have ran it up but the defense is so poor right now.
