According to the NCAA stats at this moment, Connecticut leads the nation in team free throw percentage at 78.4%. Now we just have to get to the line more often. Remember under the JC teams we'd make more free thrrows than the other team took. We need to do that again to make wins come more easily. Regardless that team FT Pct is amazing. KO really knows how to coach that for the second year in a row.

I doubt it's something they focus on in recruiting, and while I'm sure they'd tell you they focus on it in practice, it's just one of those things that a coaching staff can't really control. For YEARS we struggled at the line. Our 2004 team shot 62%.

But in 2011 we shot 76% and in 2014 we shot 78% (and seemingly 90% in the postseason).

Glenn Miller.

Really?

Kind of a joke. But don't you remember the story about the Steve Nash free throw drills that Glenn instituted in practice? The guys on the 2011 or 2014 team (I forget which) claimed that's why they're so effective in clutch situations.
