Two things stuck out for me as I watched the game on TV; 1) Vic is a helluva coach 2) Stanford missed 20 (I believe) 3 pointers.
I don't think Stanford will ever shoot that poorly again and we better watch out if we play Texas.

I am happy that UConn has a better id. But Stanford, being and elite school, most likely has a superior superego. And there is surely no lack of ego to go around at either school.

A couple of things stand out with Stanford. Of the three returning Final Four participants that are at the top of most contenders lists for this year, Stanford lost the most even if it was just K Williams, and added the least with a couple of good recruits, but nowhere near the mega classes of SC and Uconn, and no big time transfers like Dorka or Cardosa.

They have a ton of talent, particularly up front, but the loss of Williams looks like that may be a bigger problem than I first anticipated. In that game they didn't look like they had solved point guard with anyone else, and were using Haley Jones and Lexie Hull to cover for that. They are very good players but they need a true point guard to emerge, and they may not have a good one on the roster.
