The crowd got really loud when the DJ hyped them. At the end of the day, that's the whole point. So it works.

Yeah, I used to cringe when that "Give me a U" guy would come out on the field. The DJ is much more palatable and it actually works.

While I am personally not a big fan of the DJ (it reminds me of the SNL skit "WhatnUp With 'Dat" when they show him on the jumbo torn and his little buddy is dancing next to him), at least the Marketing Dep't is trying something different to improve the atmosphere. Just not my cup of tea. The students seem to like it tho.
