Finally, a game to devour like a Thanksgiving meal.

CCSU is just part what this team needs to prepare for the BE wars. Not down low but a veteran and speedy bunch with multiple scorers that played an effective zone.
Based upon the obvious - our team speed and athleticism, we'll see a lot more zone this year.

In a typical season, the non-conference schedule is built to play teams with strengths that will challenge our weaknesses and experience.
Not this 2020 season - one doused with a virus that will hinder all teams' efforts to improve.
U of H does carry 4 players 6'9" and above so maybe they will test our young bigs.

Adama Sanogo, the lanky lefty-righty with the body of a bull dominated against a comparatively skinny front line. The last player of his size and skill to tread the boards at UConn was, who? Think a taller Jeff Adrien or a more skilled Toraino Walker.

Isaiah Whaley. Only 17 foul-shortened minutes but showed no drop-off from the trajectory he displayed during the second half of last year's season. What was noticeable was an uptick in confidence and being more vocal. This senior looks to have what it takes to be a real leader along the back line.

Josh Carlton did not have an impact. He was clearly not in the plans as far as high options for this game. Josh is just limited with his feet and shooting skill but just because we have more options as a team does not mean he is not an important piece. He will guard the hoop and get his put-backs.

Javonte Browne jumped off the page with 4 points and 2 bounds in 3 wrap-up minutes albeit against a CCSU wrapped-up lineup. At 7 feet or so he has most likely earned a couple more minutes or so.

Richie Springs helped mop up with a couple of rebounds. He may be a victim of a shortened schedule this year. Keep getting stronger, Richie!

Tyler Polley sure looked big out there. I never thought of him as a big but at 6'9" he can shoot over anyone on the perimeter and the way he slid inside to pick up boards shows he might just be that kid who was having the game of his life before tearing up his knee. Remarkably showed little rust and that shot is even sweeter-looking.
