Not sure beating Mississippi moves the needle much.
At the minimum it's going 1-1 instead of 0-1. Q2 win isn't Q1, but its something. They were the first team out on Bracket Matrix this morning so it's a narrow margin.

Providence has 21 wins. They should be a lock. Never since the formation of the NBE team missed the field yet Lunardi has them out.

Hold the phone- am I crazy or did English say in his postgame locker room speech that Calhoun had given PC a pregame pep talk?

6 Q1 wins is nice, too, but just 9-12 in first 2 quads overall since they have a losing record in Q2. They'll eventually be 9-13 or 10-13 if they need the AQ.

I have a feeling they're going to be right on the cutline either in or out.

The A10 should have never pulled their tournament out of Atlantic City. A tournament in a seedy, downtrodden AC is a lot more interesting than playing in the sterile Barclays Center in hipsterville Brooklyn.

Might’ve talked to all the teams. He was there on day 1

He definitely said that.

He did. I was surprised too considering that UConn is a big rival. But I guess English understands that If you want to be great you need to listen to the LEGENDS of the game

Duquesne looking to cap off a freaking wild day in the A-10 with an upset bid against 3-seed Dayton.

All three of the higher-seeded teams (seeds 1,2, and 4) lost today coming off their byes; insane stuff.

It would be better for the Big East if Dayton saw this off and then beat the other upstarts to take this title. Otherwise, bid thievery.

If Virginia loses to BC, they’ve gotta be out right? The third place ACC team?

Dayton has had several chances to take control of this game, but they are playing scared. Dayton, and by extension every bubble team, is in big trouble right now.

Gus going on a rant about crappy three point shot selection by Creighton and these guys. Apparently spending too much time on their driveway hoops pretending to be Caitlin Clark.

The greatest basketball player ever!

#23 Mohammed Diarra 6'10" had 14 pts and 16 rebounds for NC State today. No relation, I believe.

BE bubble teams (Hall, John's Nova, Providence) need to start pulling for Dayton here. Down in the 1H. If they lose, guaranteed bid stealer.
Top 4 seeds of Atlantic 10 tournament are out. I think one of St John's, Nova, or PC will get screwed because of this.
