Future opponent Georgia State looked awful in the first half against our old friend Marshall last night (down 18 points at one time), but made a nice comeback in the second half. They were down by 8 (20-28) with the ball in the red zone with two minutes to go, but lost the ball on downs. They got the ball back after a punt, but a pick-6 made the score a deceiving 35-20, Herd. Both teams had 427 yards of offense, and GSU (2-4) had a season-high 218 yards on the ground.

Va. Tech is doing a job on Boston College!
Was watching some of the game before the half thinking VT had it sewn shut with a 28-0 lead. Go to take the dog out for a walk and settle in for the night only to see that BC pulled within a TD...fortunately VT woke up in the 4th quarter to put the game away. So BC and the Yankees lose, yeah, while the Mets get blown out, dammit, all in all not a terrible sports nite but was hoping for a trifecta of sorts.

Watching the futility bowl. Duke is somehow up 11 on Florida State but yet can't gain a yard. FSU just keeps turning it over

Their fans were inspired after Clemson stumbled around and didn't destroy them score wise, then this new QB actually had to play, and that was that. Has there ever been a one year fall off worse than this one?

Watched (CBS Sports ranks) 134. Kennesaw State lose at 131. Middle Tennessee State 14-5 on Tuesday.

It is really wonderful that we are not as bad as either of those football teams.

I'm ridiculously pumped to watch NDSU and SDSU play this weekend. #1 vs #2. Total powerhouses of the FCS.
Maine is hosting number 5 Nova today. Hope the Bears can keep it close but I'm about ready to part ways with Jordan Stevens - 7-21 in three years now. Maybe we can get Charlton back, lol.

Someone mentioned Army QB Bryson Dailey as a Heisman candidate. All he did today was account for all six Army TD's - five rushing, one passing. Passed for 147, rushed for a career high 171.

Navy as scored thee TD's vs. Charlotte in the first quarter. They are 20 for 20 in the red zone, and all 20 scores are TD's. That's crazy.
