Seton Hall had a 13 point run in the 4th to pull away from Xavier 75 - 55.
The 4th quarter included the rare 5 point play when a SH player made a 3 point FG and after the shot, she was fouled but it wasn't considered as part of the shot and went to the line to shoot 2 FTs because SH was in the bonus.
 
Fun 4th quarter between Ohio State and UCLA. Sort of the same brand of basketball we’ve seen from Ohio State from years: intense ball pressure, lots of 3s and helter skelter play but no rebounding and they got destroyed on the glass. Rice and Kneepkens had some big plays to hold off the Ohio State comeback. Jaloni Cambridge might be the most under the radar sophomore in the country. I think she has the tools to be a very good pro.
 
Uh oh. Arkansas lost by 9 to Arkansas St. At home.
 
Broncos open WCC play by overcoming: scoreless opening 5 minutes and 4-16 shooting by former NAU Lumberjacks Ava Schmidt and Sophie Glancy to defeat San Diego 68-46.

Freshman Katie Schatt was the leading scorer for the Broncos with 14 points and Santa Clara dominated on the boards again.
 
What is with these $EC teams still playing chump teams? (no offense intended towards the chump teams) Providence, Stone Hill, SE Louisiana, Alcorn State?? Pick on somebody your own size....

Christy Winters-Scott is the analyst for the Creighton at Georgetown game on truTV. Must be tricky analyzing the play while watching her daughter competing. I always liked Brianna's game
 
I think I jinxed Brianna Scott, she started, played two minutes and has been on the bench since.
At the end of the 1st, 18 - 13 Georgetown.
 
Fantastic game in Spokane as LMU takes Gonzaga to OT. Zags Lauryn Whittaker with four fouls.

Lopes 1-10 win the basement classic against the 2-10 Aztecs in San Jose. Former NAU Lumberjack alley Cummings is unable to lead her Aztecs to victory in the basement classic.

The Lopes actually play their best game of the season on the road winning all four quarters and the Aztecs made them look like a real respectable team.

I think this game says a lot more about the bottom of the Mountain West in the Aztecs than it does about Winston Gandy. Yes texts are so bad that it's hard to tell whether they're just 20 points worse than the lobes or if Grand Canyon is beginning to turn it around.

Hernandez who's played an amazing game for the Lions just fouled out as the second OT begins. And LMU guard Lawson just fouled out.

Zags take a two-point lead from the foul line.

LMU has controlled the pace of this game from the tip and has uncharacteristically outshot the Zags from three land.

With 2 minutes left Turner gives the Zags the three-point lead with a elbow jumper and it looks like the Zags may escape the upset.

Whittaker makes it through both OTs without picking up the fifth foul. Very impressive for a freshman.

You've got Arizona dialed in, but California is your kryptonite. SJSU is the Spartans, not the Aztecs.
 
WCC kicked off today. Washington St. shook off that dreadful 1-12 OOC and got a win today against Pepperdine.

I'm kinda thinking more than any other conference, team records in OOC are about meaningless for the WCC teams. Especially if the Cougs manage to finish in the top 3rd of the standings, as much as they struggled in non conference.

Here's a head scratcher for me. Jenna Villa was a top 75 or so, maybe even top 50 recruit from a bit north of Seattle. For 2 years I kept waiting for her to do something at Washington St., and it never happened. She transferred to Oregon St. Took her a few games to get going, but she's become their go to scorer. What were they doing with her for 2 years in Pullman? Took Rueck a few games to figure out how to get more out of her than Ethridge did in 2 seasons.

And you're right we Arizonans don't have tremendous insight into the California condition.

I got to tell you sometimes it feels like it. They bring their warped sense of value here so real estate now has entered the insane range. And it was pretty crazy 15 years ago before they started flowing in.

It's hard. Game was in Columbus. Browns playing today in Cleveland. And it's three days out from Xmas. Does the AP pay to send an intern to ask Cori questions for 5 minutes?

I bet an OhioSt MCBB team would get media coverage even if they were 0-15.
