Hey folks - putting a placeholder here for the weekly t25 grid of games. Not sure when AP poll will be released, and my dad (Grumpy to the great g-kids) is arriving today for a week of holiday festivities. Most likely, I'll be doing my spreadsheetpalooza when he's napping, lol.

Ok, not kidding, he's napping, so here's the shortlist of games, only today and Sunday. Two t25 matchups. As per usual, ORV and BE teams also on the list.

Well now...I was just going to post a temporary thread because I obviously missed this...
Just a place holder to document the St. John's at Villanova game, Monday at noon on ESPN+.
My (current) favorite ref, Joe Vaszily, is on the court.
Matchup between Jasmine Bascoe, the BE's best player if UConn wasn't in the conference*, and St. John's Brooke Moore, current BE FG% leader.

*According to Harry Perretta...doing the game analysis.

Good. Villanova is looking like that second team out of the big east that can make the ncaa tournament.

.-.
Villanova wins 85 - 48. Nova looked really good, five players in double digits.
Next up Seton Hall at Creighton, 4PM on ESPN+.

Lani While 20 - the kitties from the dirty t - 19. 5 minutes remaining in the half as the Utes lead their hosts in Tucson by 12.

Kitties are being abused on the boards 18-10.

The kittie announcers indicate that the kitties have the seventh highest attendance this season so far.

Turnover classic in Texas.

NCO turns the ball over 14 more times than Sam Houston:s 28 in a 65-56 loss.

62 total turnovers!!!!!!!!

At the end of the 1st quarter, Seton Hall is leading host Creighton 30 - 20. Very exciting game so far which included a 20 - 0 Pirates run after the Blue Jay's started the game 7 - 0.

At the half, Seton Hall leading 56 - 36. Valenzuela, transfer from FSU, has 19 points on 7 - 7 shooting including 3 - 3 from 3. Two other players have scored in double digits.

Very ragged 3rd quarter with the refs discovering their foul whistles...one flagrant 1 on Creighton and one player technical on Seton Hall. Creighton made a little run after shooting the technical to close the score to 73 - 57 at the end of the 3rd.
The flagrant 1 call got me laughing because they originally called a valid dual possession but a Creighton player was clearly hacking away while the other two were fighting for the ball. But the play was reviewed because the Creighton player with the possession pushed the Seton Hall player in the back after they separated. No idea why the technical was called because it was well after the jump ball fiasco.

.-.
This BE game is a riot. Six TOs in 90 seconds due to a smothering defense with some really weird foul calls against SH and Creighton has made it 84 - 79 with 40 seconds left. Oh and Eads has fouled out for SH.

I am impressed with Creighton. Their freshmen are looking pretty solid. Probably a middle of the pack finisher in the big east this year; but that’s not too bad for a rebuilding year.

Not gonna lie. I do look forward to the weekly grid break down. Appreciate you!

That Ole Miss/Michigan State game was pretty nice. Michigan State got it going in the 2nd quarter and never looked back.

Oklahoma is going to be a problem. Aaliyah Chavez is nice. She is fun to watch out there. Same can be said about Raegan Beers. Great night of hoops.

Glad this was available to stream for free versus it being on FloHoops or BallerTV.

There was an interesting Canadian storyline for me in this game. Lattimore of Ole Miss and Alexander of Mich State were considered the best forwards of the Canadian 2021 class, but Lattimore got more of the hype. Not sure if I expected Alexander having 14 points and Lattimore having 7 points.

Michigan State's size made it tougher for Ole Miss get inside the paint. Ole Miss looked frustrated throughout the game. This was a big win for Sparty, especially after that loss to Wisconsin.

I am about to rewatch the game here in a few. I have always been a huge fan of Grace VanSlooten. Her coming to Michigan State, after leaving Oregon, is looking like a pretty solid fit.
