Week 7 - Dec 15 to 21

Didn't they have another crazy fan, Coach Jumper, who was always ready to head over there and take over coaching duties?
He’s on volnation. I believe he’s been banned for some reason. Hasn’t been on for a couple of weeks. He pretends he’s an insider; he’s usually wrong. He’s some sort of skills coach who works with individuals. He’s always wanted to assist the Vols coaching staff.

Home cooking in the Mountain West.

Starting in Griff City the wandering Lobos are getting blown out by the lady Rebs. This looks like vintage Lindy coaching. The Lobos have two technicals in the quarter and trail 31-13 at the end of 1. Wow.... It's raining threes in Las Vegas as the Rebs hit 12 and lead 54-32 at the half as the Lobos are wondering what's going on.

Defending champs San Diego State taking care of Boise State actually abusing the visitors - 50-24 at the half as Boise State will fall to 0-2 in conference.

Colorado State comfortably ahead of Utah Valley by double figures entering the fourth.

Also in Colorado Air Force is steam rolling Amanda Levin's Nevada team.

Looks like Wyoming may be the only visiting team with a chance to pick up a w today

Point of order. SDSU won the conference tourney, but UNLV were the regular season champs. The Aztecs finished tied for 4th place.
Soooooo the Aztecs did represent the Mountain West at the Big Dance as the conference champs. I was at the triple overtime victory in Las Vegas when the Aztecs beat Wyoming. It was an outstanding amazing game

I put more stock in what a team does during a 20 game schedule over 3 months than what they do in 3 or 4 days at the end of the year.

Duke goes into the Bear Den ........ Mollywops the Bruins of Belmont 76 to 46 ..... leaves Nashville like

After really struggling against a wheat Grand Canyon team and a one-point victory earlier in the week the lady Rebs have found their identity in the Thomas Mack Arena as they are raining threes on the wandering Lobos. Leading 71 to 50 Lindy's team is 15 -24 from three land.

Olivia Miles has poured in 29 points and TCU is pulling away from Kansas St.

What happened to Long Beach St.? They were one of the better programs in the Big West. Gonna fall to 0-10, getting just destroyed by UCLA.

I'm gonna need somebody to tell me again how Tennessee is so much better off under their new coach than either of the previous 2 coaches. Because I just don't see it. At all.

She’s def better than warlick.

I know this type of play worked in D11 and lower D1 but it’s clearly not working

It's only a little bit into her 2nd year, but let's just see. Whatever shortcomings she had, Warlick still won plenty of games and got to the Elite 8 3 times. I think you can make the case that Holly got better results than Harper did.

In Year 1 Caldwell finished 8th in the SEC. Warlick only finished that low once, in her final season. Had 4 seasons finishing between 4th and 1st. Harper finished 3rd or 4th every year.

I can agree with this. Warlick def recruited better than Harper. Caldwell has the benefit of NIL and more money than Harper.

It will be interesting to see if Caldwell can keep her team. These players are sacrificing playing time hoping to win.

Not just playing time, but also development time, both on individual skills but also on learning plays, reads, etc. Kim's approach just doesn't require mastery of an extensive playbook, and while not all pro teams do either, it will be a limitation in many systems.

What's up w/ ESPN? There are 4 teams playing in an event in Hawaii--Oregon St., Montana St., Hawaii and Liberty. Matchups were preset. Earlier ESPN had Hawaii vs. Montana St. listed in the slate of games for today. It has since disappeared. I confirmed on both schools' official sites the game was played, Montana St. won 72-56.

7 undefeated teams playing today and as the Cornhuskers get ready to tip I think all but one should continue their streaks today
