No worry, I hear the duck is superb.Didn't even get to watch the game. Saw the halftime score.

Not done with mankind, but am boycotting all chicken products until further notice. No chicken sandwiches, chicken souvlaki, Buffalo wings, scrambled eggs... Nothing.
Setting aside the rather unsubstantiated nature of Bama's ranking (who had they beaten?), Cal is no doubt improved and I expect them to earn an NCAA bid this season.Cal beat Alabama 69-65.
First win for the Bears over a ranked team in nearly 5 years (March of '20).
Actually, the move to the ACC has helped them immensely in ALL sports especially the women's sports. The school fields 12 Women's sports teams now most other schools only field 9 or 10 Women's sports, heck Oklahoma State only fields 7 Women's sports. Most of these BC teams do well competing at the National level. Basketball is the exception. This is Joanne Bernabe-McNamee's last year on her contract so I expect her to not be retained and the school to search for someone else to lead the effort.nwhoopfan- - Remember when Boston College was one of the top 3 WBB teams in the Big East?
The move to the ACC really paid off for them in ALL sports, huh!
Leave it to Plebe to ruin a long-standing narrative about Charmin Smith and her lacking the coaching credentials. I guess I begrudgingly agree...talk about being a "party pooper"...Setting aside the rather unsubstantiated nature of Bama's ranking (who had they beaten?), Cal is no doubt improved and I expect them to earn an NCAA bid this season.
I probably would've fired both Lynne Roberts and JR Payne before they turned around Utah and Colorado respectively. I definitely would've fired Charmin Smith before now. What can I say, I'm not very patient. Fortunately for everybody I don't have the ability to fire coaches.Leave it to Plebe to ruin a long-standing narrative about Charmin Smith and her lacking the coaching credentials. Mentioned something similar on a thread on the UConn side. Those comments seem unfair especially when she's coming back from an ACL. Sure recovery is 9-12 months, but there still is getting back into game playing shape. My Monday morning quarterback analysis is super unfair to coach Schaefer. I've been bummed about how they've used Laila Phelia but conversely I'm bummed she found the ball in her hands taking so many threes late in that game when Holle was cooking earlier in the game. Damned if you do damned if you don't. In any event I do think Texas played a good game even when dealing with adversity. Their best players didn't play great and they were right there. Someone mentioned Rori is not quite Rori, I thought that was interesting. It could be that she'll be closer to herself in March, a year and a couple months post surgery. But there were a couple defensive possessions on Hidalgo especially in the second half where I was really impressed with her
It was a great win for Notre Dame. I wish Prosper and Koval woulda played a tad bit better. I feel like they both are right there in terms of being trusted role players. Nevertheless I kinda think the team's ceiling is dependent on the super senior If Westbeld does come back it's such a huge difference. She opens up so much of the offense with her versatility. Karlen does similar things but is a tad smaller and not as physically. And then Kylee Watson is kinda what I see in Koval. Really good physically, in that they are able to be a presence defensively and guard their position well.
Not sure if already posted but this is interesting.
I can't wait for this utter embarrassment of granting a 5th year of playing and unchecked transfers is over....at the moment there are now 2 other top 26 players from the 2020 class returning for a 6th year-Maddie Scheer (Kentucky formerly of Oregon), Kylee Watson (ND formerly of Oregon), Lauren Ware could also return for another year, be it at Texas A&M or elsewhere (she started at Arizona). Of course Bueckers could also return. This is smart--by both parties involved (UCLA and Leger-Walker).
Yeah. I mean ideally she gets healthy, and maybe it makes it easier for her to fully complete her master's. The only thing I will say is that guard rotation is so tough, especially with Elina being so good. I actually think she should be getting more playing time. Idk how CLW impacts that. But for sure good on her for not rushing. This is smart--by both parties involved (UCLA and Leger-Walker).

This means 23 and 24 year-olds playing against 17/18 year olds. This is as bad as the whole participation trophy handouts. (Just view this as me saying "hey kid, get off my lawn").
I must admit I am not a fan of teams whose best three players are 5th-, 6th- (!) or even 7th- (!!!) year seniors. (Looking at you, Ole Miss and Alabama.) Some of these players are old enough to have finished law school by now.I can't wait for this utter embarrassment of granting a 5th year of playing and unchecked transfers is over....at the moment there are now 2 other top 26 players from the 2020 class returning for a 6th year-Maddie Scheer (Kentucky formerly of Oregon), Kylee Watson (ND formerly of Oregon), Lauren Ware could also return for another year, be it at Texas A&M or elsewhere (she started at Arizona). I agree, but considering that there's a topic on here glorifying Sedona Prince (who will be 25 in May) for dominating an 18-year-old, I would imagine that many here feel differently.I can't wait for this utter embarrassment of granting a 5th year of playing and unchecked transfers is over....at the moment there are now 2 other top 26 players from the 2020 class returning for a 6th year-Maddie Scheer (Kentucky formerly of Oregon), Kylee Watson (ND formerly of Oregon), Lauren Ware could also return for another year, be it at Texas A&M or elsewhere (she started at Arizona). I don't understand the age difference frustration as these players will face an age gap at some point. And we seem to be okay with it on a selective basis depending on the player (e.g. Nurse, Edwards, Swords and Prosper playing with the Canadian Senior national team). It happens when they get to the pro level as well.Yeah. I mean ideally she gets healthy, and maybe it makes it easier for her to fully complete her master's. I still like the 5th year but I understand why people don't like it. On the men's side they go pro at 18/19 and play adults. Of course overseas young players play against adults. I also like it for students to get their degree and also play in programs that are better fits or higher levels. But coaches seem to vehemently disagree as well. I'm bummed it's going away. Like isnt Hailey Van Lith run at tcu good for the game and her in general.
Doesn't this go away with the 2020 class using up their COVID year if they were healthy for their entire career? It shouldn't be a large issue going forward.I must admit I am not a fan of teams whose best three players are 5th-, 6th- (!) or even 7th- (!!!) year seniors. (Looking at you, Ole Miss and Alabama.) I don't mind it if players have missed a ton of time due to injury, but when you've already played 4 full seasons ...
I loved the extra year. Gave a lot of mid major players a chance to shine.I will self identify as a curmudgeon, I also can't wait for the extra covid year to go away.
Got outscored 46-28 in the 2nd half. Ouch.Villanova loses to temple by double digits.
