I think their warm ups are coolHave I mentioned how much I hate SCs uniforms?
Lauren Betts played 37 mins, 8 Pts? Oh My God ...10 turnovers for Texas; 20 turnovers for UCLA. enough said

Hey @southie, Booker IS a VERY good player but in today’s AA marquee matchup of 1st All Americans, both her AND Betts were not remotely the best players on their own team. At least Booker showed up, Betts clearly proved she SHOULD NOT be the #1 pick in the WNBA Draft….
I know both teams have injury issues but UCLA only played 6 and Texas only played 7.
Grrrrreat. So the big east is even worse than usual.Remember that Loyola Chicago team UConn played? They just beat DePaul by 12.
In the Goombay division Baha Mar Pink Flamingo championship.Ohio state beat West Virginia….. UConn’s win looks a lot better
To me the other stat of the game was zero free throws taken by Betts (and only 4-8 total). How do you live in the paint for 37 minutes and not get to the charity stripe once? Again, something that distinguishes her from A'ja, Aaliyah, Stewart and other top bigs who generate a lot of free points manufacturing contact.10 turnovers for Texas; 20 turnovers for UCLA. enough said

Harmon also made key/clutch shots when neededI haven't had a chance to watch the game. Booker's stat line today was 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. So whether she is "remotely" the best player in today's game is something I can't say right now. For Rori Harmon, a non-scoring PG, to get 26 points, UCLA must have been focusing their defense on someone else; Booker, perhaps?
South Carolina?Seriously? Last year she had great games against Notre Dame, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and TCU to name a few. You really believe you get named SEC POY without playing well in the big games?

Well, she had a good game in their one win in Austin. She was not good in Columbia or Greenville.South Carolina?
20 pts on 22 shots with 4 turnovers, but I guess I'll allow it.Well, she had a good game in their one win in Austin. She was not good in Columbia or Greenville.
I can’t tell you one thing she does at an elite level. She doesn’t have many (any?) glaring weaknesses, but doesn’t look like much more than a draft-and-bench player to me at this stage. Not as much as she should have, because Close is not a great player development coach. Never has, never will be.
"Down" would be kind; you're correct, they are not a good team this year. Allison is a decent coach but they have no players this year.Drake appears to be way down this year. Just got hammered by Northern Kentucky by 20+, a team who was 1-6 coming into the game. Drake drops to 1-5. I know they lost Dinnibier, maybe they lost most of the team from last season.
Texas will be monstrous on the perimeter/wing next year with Booker, Lee, Preston, Crump, Critterdon, and Bjorn. Sheesh.

Should be an interesting matchup tomorrow.
I'm a Jordan Lee fan. That's another one of those coulda been gamecocks that hurt me a little. Overall, they seem a little better on perimeter and not nearly as good inside without Taylor Jones.
Breya Cunningham has been fine at Texas but certainly fades on a team this talented. Can’t help but think she could’ve made an enormous impact at USC.
And you point is? She played 20 minutes last night. She can't have a couple off games once in a while?Michigan puts up 100 again. Swords goes 3-10, 1-5 from three. Now 6-21, 1-9 from three since torching UConn.
Trust me, I remember. Ha. It was very frustrating. It's still 20 points. And, she added 11 rebounds from the SF spot. So, a double-double no matter how anyone dissects it.
It was actually Kyla Oldacre who was having a huge day against SC in Columbia with 11 points and 16 rebounds; Jones had zero points that day. The opposite happened in the SEC tourney. Both hit double-digit points in the win in Austin. Jones has the better faceup game, but Oldacre is tougher to move out of the low block.

And, you didn't even list Madi Booker! Plus, a Top 25 national player in Aaliah Spaight who should log a lot of minutes at the point.

She had a 40% FG and 35% 3FG last season. Her current stats are in the same range. Don't understand what posting these stats does other than try to imply what she did was a fluke. If you haven't seen her play throughout her career, fine, but dang..... she can play and hold her own with the best of them. Doing this just seems petty to me.
