Hey hey hoop fans! I'm back home, got the laptop up and running, here is this week's slate of games, with T25 teams (bold), Big East teams (blue), "also receiving points" (grey), and maybe a few teams to watch (rose). Remember that there may be some TBAs based on holiday weekend tourneys, so If I have time, I'll update laster this week, but don't depend on me, lol, as we have g-kids out of school all week, turkey day feast, and our g-daughter's first time to see USWNT Soccer in person. Wahoo!

Posting some separate threads because, holy batman, lots of tourneys this week. And as always, please excuse if I either keep a team in or delete the row by mistake. A bit out of practice. :D

I believe a few of these really interesting matchups are, unfortunately, only on FloHoops.
I doubt that I will be watching any of them live. 😲☹️

Dang it, I still have the curse. Thought I'd passed it off. NIU came back to win by 10.
Just use your powers for good. Repeat after me:

"Tennessee will dominate at Maples."
"Stanford doesn't have a prayer of making the tournament, let alone upsetting a one seed in a shock Final Four run."
"No Cardinal players will make All-ACC, let alone two frosh."

TYVM.

I just watched Xavier barely beat winless Akron Zips by 7. It’s going to be an ugly game in the Cintas Center. The Huskies bench should be playing a lot of minutes and Geno will have the luxury of figuring out his rotations and player chemistry.

The reverse of "speak it into existence " approach.

In a matchup of 1 win teams the Billikens take down the ponies. Great nicknamed team holds on to win by 3. 240 in attendance so the fashionista doesn't have to be too worried about the scope of this loss.

In case anyone noticed (ha) and was puzzled about Stanford playing away and home on consecutive days, those games are actually at a neutral site weekend tournament in Las Vegas

Wasn't Vegas their home court for a few games during the wacky covid season?

Does anyone think Arkansas is a NCAA tournament team? I think it will depend on how the do in SEC play.

Britt Prince isn't playing around this year. Averaging about 21 ppg, shooting 63% and 50% from 3. That's good, right?

edit-- and 24 tonight on 10-14 shooting is only going to improve those numbers

The one thing I will say about Nebraska is that they haven’t really played anyone. This is probably their best opponent to date though.

True. Same can be said for several teams.

Regardless of competition, Britt's start to the season is ridiculous. Had her second 30 point game. Game by game shooting numbers:

7-12
10-13
6-12
7-12
13-18
8-14
12-17

Tough week for Southern U. Followed up 88-37 pasting by UCLA w/ trip to Seattle, losing to Washington 60-28 midway thru Q4. Looks like UW has been playing the bench heavily.

I wonder if Texas is ready for the game tonight? This is a big step up in competition for them.

A quick update to top25 teams playing today. I somehow missed WVU in my initial excel-a-palooza. Teams marked in italics are undefeated as of now, so there are 7 teams that may have a loss after today.

Oof. St. Louis must've warn themselves out beating SMU, cuz they are getting their doors blown off by the mighty Hatters of Stetson.

Princeton vs. Rhode Island just getting started, could be a good battle.

A number of mid majors that are usually solid seem to be struggling this year. Belmont just lost to McNeese and dropped to 3-4 on the season. The previous 3 losses were to Oklahoma, Tennessee and Ohio St. so that's not so bad. Still have tough games against Princeton, Kentucky and Duke. At least they'll be battle tested when they get to conference play.
