Someone will fold this into the official week 3 thread when that comes …

LSU H1 box score v Tulane is crazy. Flaujae and Fulwiley have 14 and 11 pts respectively and each has 3 assists and 3 steals. That is in 10 minutes and 8 minutes respectively!

There have been some incredible performances recently between Hidalgo and Sarah and potentially one of the above. Difference with Sarah is that unlike others she never has a a bad game or even a so so game.

Or plays real competition, I would support a “adjusted” statistics section accommodating the teams one accumulates stats against. So called “AA” stats built on games vs extremely low ranked teams are pretty meaningless (hello LSU).

Kentucky pounded Purdue 76-35. Last year for Geralds?

Two more D3 schools pick up wins -- Carnegie Mellon over St Francis & Johns Hopkins over Morgan St

Oregon St & UMass both 4-0

LoyolaCHI falls to 1-4 after a 59-44 loss to IllinoisSt

If UMass can win v BC and @ HC in the next week, they could stay undefeated thru Xmas.

Mississippi wins in OT, 73-64.
Ole Miss survived only because 2 players from Memphis were out late in the game - one fouled out and one had a leg issue and didn't return. Cotie McMahon and Iwuala took over late as Memphis didn't have any height that could match up effectively. Ole Miss shot 37% and 24% from 3 and looked like anything but #13 ranked team.

Oregon travels to former Pac-12 foe WSU for first road game tonight. Looks like WSU coach Ethridge is having a struggle attracting HS players to remote Pullman. Only 3 US players on the roster which otherwise reads like a United Nations squad. Not sure what players from Spain, France, Kosovo, Italy, etc were expecting from their American college experience but they are now waking up in Pullman WA.

Loree Payne's Broncos who rank 11th in the country with 31 3.attempts/game roll into San Diego to take on SDS who attempt 29 a game.

The Aztecs average 88 a game while the Broncos average 81 so we're looking forward to a very high scoring contest.

So. Payne and Santa Clara are on the upswing... On the road they dismantle the Aztecs... Who are one for 29 from three land.72-46 doesn't really capture the extent of the beat down as both coaches emptied their bench in the fourth.

The announcers were reflecting on the preseason coaches poll that had the Broncos fifth. While WCC is loaded in the early going it's hard to see Loree Payne's squad in the middle of the pack.

The Broncos were 11 for 25 from three land but most impressively plus 20 on the boards with 56. They host Fresno State Sunday at 2:30.

Ducks up big early. Cougs would drop to 0-5 if the score holds.

I can't remember before that, but the parade of international players to Pullman definitely was in full swing during the tenure of Ethridge's predecessor, June Daugherty.

I missed some of the late scores last night. A bit surprised by Montana St.'s 94-81 win over UNLV. I thought the Bobcats would take a step back after losing a bunch of players from last year, but they are 4-0 with a couple decent wins.

There was a major "throw out the record books" game earlier today. No telling what will happen when Maryland Eastern Shore and UMBC clash on the hardwood! Eastern Shore got the 68-54 win. Does that mean they own the state now? Or maybe there's some other school in Maryland.

And here's a "that's why they play the game" kind of game. Prior to the contest Lehigh was 1-3 and Drexel 4-0. Don't know about their comparative schedules, but their records might lead to a certain assumption. Lehigh walked away w/ a 71-57 victory.

NC State defeated Coastal Carolina at home, 71-58. Coastal got to single digits multiple times in the second half but it seemed like State would answer with a 3 every time.
