Good job Rutgers, looked like they were gonna let the game slip away from the for a couple of minutes
They look really well coached too - Jacob Young is too fast, talk about a guy who can create.

Count me in for turning into a Rutgers "fan" since Pikiell has been the coach. His teams are so tough and hard working, plus Pikiell is an easy guy to root for, especially against the old mainstays of the Big Ten.

Good start to the season and they'll be even better when Geo Baker returns from injury. However, Jacob Young has been very impressive so far this season. Really cool to see a three-year role player step up and start his senior year absolutely on fire.

UMass makes their debut this afternoon at 1:30 vs. Northeastern.

My afternoon class starts at 1:20 and ends at 3. At the very least, I'll project the game during dismissal, but a fun opportunity to split screen a solid college basketball game at 1:30 on a Friday.

I really hope these weekday afternoon games continue throughout conference play.

Tre Mitchell having a day thus far. Obviously that recruitment was a headache but, that aside, he and Cockburn are the two biggest “ones that got away” thus far in the Hurley era.

I'll give you Cockburn [figuratively] but no way we would have given Tre Mitchell the keys to the offense as soon as UMass was able to.

At UConn, he would have been one of many talented players on our team. At UMass, he gets to be the man from Day 1.

Tre Mitchell is an excellent college basketball player, but I'm not sour that we didn't get him. Very different scenario being able to be a star in the A-10.
