Week 2 Non-UConn Games

Who was it here that told me Billy Napier was fine last year and that I was off base for saying he should be on the seat?

I’ve said in the Conf Realignment board that I know a LOT of UMass fans and alum. They are ticked off with the MAC move and the group of them didn’t renew their hoops season tix for the first time in more than 30 years. They know that the MAC is literally the bottom of the barrel in basketball and football is a novelty. UMass destroyed the sport that got them on the map and has any kind of history for football where no one really cares and fans would have been more than fine to be a really good FCS school. They are toast
With the NCAA tournament likely expanding to 76 teams in 2027, the Atlantic 10 legitimately has a chance to get 2+ bids again (especially with VCU, Saint Louis, Dayton, and a few others really shelling out the revenue sharing money). UMass should have stayed in the A-10 and punted on football. They are a basketball school in a rural area with good hockey. There is no market for their football program in New England as us and BC are already here. They made a mistake. I would not be stunned if they crawl back to the A-10 and drop football in a few years if they continue to average 1-2 wins a year.

I'm not exactly a fan but I will always pull for USF. OTOH, UCF will never lose enough to suit me.
I have similar sentiments. I watched the USF game at a sports bar in central Florida. The UF fans didn’t take the loss too well.

The Bulls only have one big game left which is at Miami next Saturday afternoon.
