For the record, Duke had a good year. But I think we need to be cautious when we talk about their “turnaround.” Because it is still possible that the ACC just isn’t very good.

#6 Samford giving #1 Chattanooga a run for that auto bid. 47-36 with 3+ left in the third.

quinnipiac 19-1 versus their conference. Tied at 57. Not going to the ncaa tournament if they lose this game.

Edit: overtime. Heartbreaking loss for Iona. They missed an easy layup basically as time expired. But missed it. Quinnipiac survives.

Chattanooga let everybody down. Now Samford and their terrible 16-18 record is going Dancing. Definitely should have to be in one of the play in games.

#4 James Madison beats #1 Georgia Southern 81-53 in the Sun Belt semis. A bid stealer without even getting to finals.

Yeah, they will be a 16 seed in the play-in game.

Who would've guessed it would be Sienna and not Lauren Betts who is totally wrecking Iowa. 8 first quarter points, 22-2 run by UCLA after Iowa hit a 3 to open the game.

Sienna Betts having a good half is pretty disappointing for Iowa. I doubt she was a big focus on the scouting report.

Kudos to Iowa for getting to the Championship Game, but they've got NOTHING for UCLA today. Just getting clobbered. Bruins shooting lights out from everywhere on the floor.

Iowa is a good team, right? UCLA is utterly dismantling them.

UCLA made a strong case for the number one overall seed. Apparently they even kept their starters in late to make sure they poured it on (that’s what I hear anyway).

Beating a 2 seed by 51 points is a pretty solid statement for the overall #1.
Equal intrigue with the 3rd and 4th #1s -- if Texas wins, do they move ahead of SC?

I would say no. But in the past committee’s have liked to reward teams for winning their conference tournaments.

They don't have many bench options to go to. They were cycling out some starters throughout the 4th quarter. You heard wrong.

This isn't college football. Stop pushing the point spread crap.

Portland made a run, but Oregon St. pulled away in Q4 in a WCC quarterfinal. Big game for Lizzy Williamson 20/16.

I still believe they are, even after this game. Definitely a bizarre game as Iowa doesn't typically have a hard time scoring like they did in the first. Stuelke getting only 4 touches the entire game, when does that ever happen? Feuerbach going 0-5 from the field for the second day in a row is also surprising.

Stuelke didn't look right sometimes during the game to me. She's great at running the floor on both ends. Today, she didn't have that same burst/speed.

My main takeaway from the Texas SC game: Kyla Oldacre has improved her athleticism by a lot. She is chasing down long rebounds and loose balls, beating smaller players to the ball. I’m impressed. You go, big girl.
