Both teams cooled considerably in Q3...and a 4+ minute scoring drought by NC State allowed Georgia Tech to edge ahead, 58-55, at the end of 3Q.

Wait, didn't they lose to Creighton? I guess you must think really highly of Creighton! Glad you could finally admit it.

That was a fantastic WCBB game. Huge shots from everyone...huge plays by everyone. Two players with 30-burgers.

NC State holds off Georgia Tech in OT, 86-85.

.-.
My uncle texted me that Beers is not suited up for Oregon St. today and he doesn't see her anywhere in the building so far. Heide is dressed down though after being in a walking boot the previous game.

Friendly reminder to the State fans. When the yellow jackets came to Durham last month, they walked away with a 40 point beatdown

UT up 30-15 on Vandy after one period. Vols average hitting seven 3-pointers per game. They're 5 of 6 in first quarter. Vandy post Sacha Washington with two mid-period fouls. Not a great day so far on alumni weekend.

There's been a Raegan Beers sighting. She's in civies so won't be playing today.

Opening 4 minutes against WSU ....Devils miss 6 shots (2 lay ups), 2 turnovers, 3 fouls, give up 2 threes in setting the tone for the run to a second consecutive 20 loss season in front of 4500 fans (3600 disguised as empty seats) in Tempe.

Huskies softened them up? Head bang

Didn't require much softening ..... I think in addition to over matched soft is a great descriptor for the roster that coach Adair put together. Simmons and Sousa the two CTT holdovers are 2 of the 4 ballers on the roster.

Michigan St. beat Michigan on the road.

Kentucky beat Florida. What happened to the Gators? They seemed to be ascending a couple years ago, but have gone nowhere since.

Tech hits 11/23 from 3. State goes 3/20 from 3.

Tech shoots 52% from the field. State shoots 47%.

Kara Dunn a 27% 3 point shooter on the season goes 7/9 including 2 desperation attempts (one from basically half court!).

You’re not supposed to win when you get outscored by 33-9 from 3 on those percentages. One of the weirder games I’ve attended. Idk what got into Tech but they looked really good. State didn’t shoot it from the outside like they are capable and Rivers and Collins had very subpar showings - but somehow they got it done. A heart stopper.

That desperation heave with the shot clock winding down in the final minute of OT (and with her opposite hand!) should make the SportsCenter Top 10 tonight. When that thing went in, I said "It's just Georgia Tech's day" and was resigned to losing.

This game was close...and then turned into a blowout down the stretch. Cougs breaking a long losing streak.

Devils are spiraling toward 20 losses, again.....and for the foreseeable future.. note the AD finalist list .... Assuming a new coach next year or the year after there could be 100 losses remaining in this decade for the Devils.

So...Washington got swept by Arizona St. but swept Arizona?! That don't make no sense.
