Week 13 preview (Jan. 31–Feb. 6)

didn't understand why Oregon's charter plane got cancelled and they had to take a bus to Tucson. They didn't get a chance to have a shoot around. That hectic schedule had to affect their play...but Arizona was ready for them and even a little practice probably wouldn't have made a difference in who was going to win that game.
Wait what? They took a bus from where?
Hopefully not Oregon. :D

From Tempe/Phoenix...they played ASU on Tuesday. No idea why they waited until Friday to travel to Tucson. Maybe because of a snow or sand storm?????:)

Washington is displaying an amazing ability to lose close games. 0-7 in conference, 5 of the losses by 7 or less points. As they say, it only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I changed my mind about my Husky gear... not sure if it even belongs in the closet.... might have to put them under my bed. ;)

Grand Canyon beat Cal Baptist in a big WAC showdown. CBU has dropped 3 conference games this year after running the table last season.

Wow, Chicago St. won their 4th game of the year. They'd won 4 games total during a 5 year stretch from 2016-21.

South Dakota St. with a big win over South Dakota 75-65.

.-.
That Oklahoma game must have been something. Looks like a 3 point shooter was fouled and OK made 3 FTs to send game into 1st Overtime.

Portland just lost to LMU. That's a horrible loss for the Pilots following up their big win.

BYU looked horrible in the first half, were down by 15, but blitzed Gonzaga in the 2nd half 42-15 to win it going away. They avoided a 2 game losing streak, now the Zags need to do some soul searching on what happened after halftime.

.-.
Wait, what?! Charlotte beat Marshall 39-37...and it went to OT? That score can't be real.

Marshall led 6-2 after Q1

Combined 25-126 from field (19.8%).
37 fouls and more than 25% of points scored via FTs (20 pts)

Thoughts and prayers to the 613 in attendance who witnessed the atrocity.

Not in WBB.... but Duke demolishes the team wearing that sorry arse light blue 87-67. It wasnt that close. GTHC !!!

ooc, who would you root for in NCSt vs nearby Wake?

In North Carolina Big South Action.... The resurgent Camels of Campbell surge into first place with a 58-45 victory on the road at Longwood. They were previously tied for first place. HPU deep fried the Eagles of Wintthop 86-44. NCA&T went on the road and downed Radford 77-63. The running Bulldogs of Gardner Webb defeated the sedentary Bulldogs of UNC-A 89-77.

.-.
In a battle of Ivy unbeatens, Princeton rolled to a 57-39 win over Columbia

Actually, they played ASU Tuesday in Eugene (a makeup game). They were supposed to charter to Tucson on Thursday afternoon, but that charter got cancelled. They got a small backup charter to Tucson on Friday, arriving early - mid afternoon for a 8:00 tip-off.

Wow, I can't even read a box score or game score correctly anymore. :(:confused:
I apologize for my misinformation.

Miami should have stayed home.... faked some covid protocols or something. I'm amazed they ended up scoring 38.
Somebody better come up with a false narrative quickly because the "ACC is incredibly deep" and "no nights off" mantras are losing credibility.

At least Miami isn't as bad as Virginia and Clemson and, well, about half of the conference.

I dunno who said that the ACC was deep and no nights off... but it wasn't me. That's more of a SEC and Pac 12 thing. Now I definitely said there are no nights off... but that was for the Big South.

Florida about to pull off another big win, up 1 against Georgia on the road with ball and a second to go.

Is Joni T serious? Horrible end of the game management by Georgia
I thought they ran a good play--got a wide open look that missed. Probably should've executed a few seconds earlier though.
